The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center at the Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nuremberg aims at contributing to responsible leadership in business and society. It has the key purpose to foster current thinking within an international context in the areas of “Creating Cohesion – Designing Change – Realizing Innovation” – a top-level research focus of the University. The Center grants research fellowships at the School of Business, Economics and Society for outstanding scholars on an annual basis.
In 2020, the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society will appoint the eleventh Schöller Fellow cohort. Application for Schöller Fellowships is now open in the following two categories:
For internationally renowned scholars.
For promising early-career scholars (including assistant professors, post-docs and outstanding PhD students).
The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society grants funds of up to 50,000 € per Schöller Senior Fellow and up to 20,000 € per Schöller Fellow for the realization of their proposed research project. Fellows are expected to contribute with their experience and competence to the research activities of the School of Business, Economics and Society in Nuremberg.
Fellow Selection Criteria
The Fellows will be selected by the Research Center’s Advisory Board and appointed by the School of Business, Economics and Society. Selection criteria for the Schöller Fellowships are:
Each project is expected to involve some collaboration with members of the School of Business, Economics and Society. Each Fellow shall be affiliated with at least one of the School’s Institutes, Centers, or Research Fields and contribute to its reputation with her/his research.
Fellow Rights & Obligations
The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center provides funds of up to 50.000 € per Schöller Senior Fellow and up to 20.000 € per Schöller Fellow for the realization of the proposed research project. Schöller Fellows are required to contribute to the research activities of the School of Business, Economics and Society by sharing their experiences and competencies. Note: A Schöller Fellowship is not a permanent position (i.e., Fellows are neither employed by the Schöller Research Center nor the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg).
