Spara jobbet

A memory array test engineer for wafer-level electrical characterization and analysis of various innovative memory technologies under development.

What you will do

The Compute and Memory Device (CMD) department focuses on the research and development of memory and storage semiconductor technologies (e.g., MRAM, FeRAM, etc...), for various applications. While the pathfinding research work of these emerging technologies is carried out at single cell level, higher Technology-Readiness Levels require array integration to build up sufficient statistical size analysis, address the intrinsic reliability of the technology, and assess the viability towards given applications. To further strengthen our memory device development team, we are currently looking for a memory array test engineer who will be responsible for the electrical characterization and analysis of arrays of various memory technologies, using various designs and array sizes, and targeting various applications (storage, memory, machine learning, ...).

In detail you will:

  • Contribute to the development and upgrades (hardware and software) of the array test system
  • Be responsible for the electrical characterization of memory arrays
  • Process the data, and analyze the results with the support of device experts of the different technologies
  • Extract relevant parameters and generate electrical reports
  • Be the contact point for the introduction of new test vehicle (Probe card PCB design, Design intake, follow-up)
  • Interact with internal experts (integration, device, design, test, ...) and industrial customers in the frame of affiliation programs or specific bilateral projects.

What we do for you

We offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology at its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium. With your talent, passion and expertise, you’ll become part of a team that makes the impossible possible. Together, we shape the technology that will determine the society of tomorrow.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and proud of our open, multicultural, and informal working environment with ample possibilities to take initiative and show responsibility. We commit to supporting and guiding you in this process; not only with words but also with tangible actions. Through imec.academy, 'our corporate university', we actively invest in your development to further your technical and personal growth.

We are aware that your valuable contribution makes imec a top player in its field. Your energy and commitment are therefore appreciated by means of a market appropriate salary with many fringe benefits.

Who you are

  • You have a M. Sc degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, microelectronics, or a closely related discipline.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in the semiconductor test environment.
  • You are knowledgeable in the fundamentals of test systems (PCB, discrete electronics, instrumentation, ...), semiconductor testing, memory arrays, digital circuits, ...
  • You are familiar with UNIX/Windows software platforms, and proficient in data-processing softwares: Excel (+Macros), Matlab/Octave, Python. Proficiency in additional data analysis and editor tools (JMP, Origin, Gnuplot, R, (La)TeX,...) is definitively a plus
  • You are precise and consistent in your work methodology and data reporting.
  • You are team-oriented, open, clear and flexible in your communication.
