Introduction

INL is seeking a qualified Maintenance & Installation Officer with experience in the Refrigeration/Electrical field to join the Maintenance & Installation Unit.

The selected candidate will be working with a local and experienced team, on a variety of beverage equipment, including HVAC, hydraulic pumps, ultrapure water system, water processing, vacuum and compressed air, and should demonstrate excellent hands-on experience in building facilities and equipments, performing onsite general repairs/installations, executing maintenance of systems and equipment and keeping the facilities functioning in a safe and effective manner.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities

• Operate in accordance with health and safety regulations, departmental procedures and INL policies;
• Ability to work with schematics & read blueprints;
• Ability and willingness to perform general maintenance tasks;
• Carry out day to day maintenance duties across the INL site;
• Provide immediate support in the event of breakdowns;
• Execute fault diagnosis and repair of equipment;
• Assist with equipment installation and setup;
• Provide assessments and advice on existing systems as part of a collaborative approach;
• Assist the maintenance team in the improvement and development of current processes and procedures.

Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

-  Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Formal Technical Education in related fields;

-         Refrigerant Handling license will be valued;

-         At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, performing all aspects of maintenance;

-  Good electrical skills gained within a manufacturing environment;

-         Ability to use drawing, manuals and circuit diagrams;

-         Solid computer skills as a user;

-         Knowledge in GTC systems: SCADA or similar;

-   PLCs experience (B&R, Beckhoff, and Siemens) will be strongly valued;

-       Experience in a full range of mechanical and electrical tasks, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing is a plus.

-         Valid driver's license.

Languages

English is the working language of INL. Therefore, excellent communication skills in English are required. Additional language skills in Portuguese will be positively evaluated.

Supervision

The work will be developed at the INL under the guidance of Hugo Cortez.

The successful candidate will be integrated in Maintenance and Installation Unit.

Duration of the contract:

The total duration of the employment contract shall be 48 months and may be renewed based on the performance of the individual. The expected starting date is February 2020.
