KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm has grown to become one of Europe’s leading technical and engineering universities, as well as a key centre of intellectual talent and innovation. The research will deal with numerical simulations and experiments of transition from laminar to turbulent flow of boundary layers under free stream turbulence. The project will entail both direct numerical simulations with the Nek5000 code and experiments in the MTL wind tunnel at the department of Mechanics.
What we offer
Applicants must hold or be about to receive a doctoral degree in fluid mechanics. The successful applicant should have an outstanding research and publication record. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills are a requirement. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability.
