The Department of Built Environment and Energy Technology provides education and conducts research in energy processes, energy systems and the diffusion of innovations in the built environment.
Field of subject for the position: Postdoc fellowship in construction engineering focusing on the diffusion of innovations in the built environment
Placement city until further notice: Växjö
Scope and time period of position: Full time 100% with indefinite term, but no more than two years.
The working tasks consist mainly of research on innovation systems and the diffusion of innovations in the built environment, in particular regarding the development of business models for renovation of houses and the energy behaviour at homes. In your job, you will be expected to actively apply for external project funding, and actively participate in the Department’s environment and network both internally and externally. Maximum 20% of the work can include teaching and tutoring at the undergraduate and graduate level.
To be qualified for the position, the applicant must hold a PhD, or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD, and have completed their degree no more than three years before the application deadline.
Applicants must not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral fellow for more than a year in the same or related subject area at Linnaeus University.
To be eligible for this position, the applicant must also have demonstrated scientific competence in the area of diffusion of innovations in the built environment or equivalent.
Other qualifications viewed favourably are application for external project funding and experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in the subject matter.
Good ability in English and Swedish.
The work will be conducted in a research team, and therefore, flexibility and the ability to work with others are important.
The overall assessment of ability places particular emphasis on the applicant’s potential for a successful career as a teacher and researcher.
