Projects starting October 1, 2018; Application deadline: May 1, 2018. We call for applications to fill 18 PhD positions in the English-speaking international PhD programme “Medical Neuroscience” designed to support highly motivated students to become part of the next generation of top-educated neuroscientists.
Modern neuroscience is a multi-disciplinary field that includes biochemistry, molecular neurobiology, cellular neurobiology, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuroanatomy, neuropathology, neuroimmunology, clinical neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry and neurology. The aim of the Medical Neuroscience programme is to educate students to PhD level using a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach. We offer a highly dynamic and collaborative environment with numerous opportunities to meet, talk, listen and collaborate with fellow neuroscientists.
Not only will you be part of one of Europe’s best neuroscience environments, the “Cluster of Medical Neuroscience” representing one of five main research foci of the MedUni Vienna; you will also have the opportunity to live in Vienna, which is rated as one of the top cities in the world for quality of life. Vienna is a fun, young city embedded in beautiful old buildings - an international metropolis in the heart of Central Europe.
