The Department of Archivistics, Library and Information Science has available two tenured positions as associate professors in library and information science. The department is a member of the iSchools organization, which means that our study programmes and research is concerned with the relationships between information, people, and technology.
We are searching for two persons who will assist in developing the future profile of the bachelor and master programmes in library and information science. The department's research should be closely linked to the study programmes at all levels. We are working towards closer integration between the study programmes in archival science and library and information science.
Those employed will be part of the department's research group Information and Society (INFOSAM). The research group studies the institutions, professions and policy design of the information field as well as people's use of information in work, education and everyday life.

If you do not master Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, you must acquire Norwegian language equivalent to level B2 during the first three years of employment.
Presence at the workplace is expected.
Documented pedagogical qualifications and experience will be prioritized. Candidates who have no relevant qualifications in pedagogy at the time of appointment must complete OsloMet’s programme for basic pedagogical competence (15 ECTS credits) within two years.
OsloMet will evaluate pedagogical competencies during the individual interview.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the pay scale for Norwegian state employees, job title and position code. Salary NOK 524 200-682 200 annually. A higher salary may be considered for particularly well qualified applicants. . Law deducts 2% of the salary to the State Pension Fund.
