YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
This thesis will focus on the characterization of pMUTs for next-generation biomedical imaging applications (e.g., Intravascular ultrasound [1]).
The main tasks include
- packaging of pMUT samples,
- electrical and mechanical characterization,
- acoustic characterization, and
- medical imaging experiments.
The outcome of the thesis will contribute to optimizing the pMUT design.

YOUR PROFILE
- Top master student with study or research background in MEMS, ultrasound, signal processing, or other related fields.
- Interested in the ultrasonic transducers, MEMS characterization, medical imaging.
- Knowledge of characterizing MEMS sensors or ultrasonic transducers, signal processing algorithms.
- Experience with medical signal processing would be preferred.
- Experience with design or characterization of interface electronics for ultrasonic transducers would be preferred.
- Good oral and written English skills.
IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT SAL
- Start of Employment: Immediately.
- Limited position: Duration 6 months.
- This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 1.545.- / month, based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“).
- Home Office possible.
- € 4.- /day food allowance in restaurants / € 2.- /day in supermarkets.
