Psychology at Tampere University is located in the Unit of Welfare Sciences in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The research lines of the psychology program focus on 1) social cognition and emotions, 2) developmental psychology, 3) occupational psychology, 4) environment and well-being, 5) clinical psychology, and 6) neuropsychology and rehabilitation.

We offer
Initial appointment as an associate professor is for five years and, subject to successful performance, you will become a tenured member of the faculty at the end of the first five-year period. You will be supported throughout the five-year period to ease transition to a permanent faculty position. Should the position be filled as a full professor, it is a permanent position from the start. A trial period of six months applies to all of our new employees.
Salaries are based on the job demands and employees’ personal performance in accordance with the Finnish University Salary System. The initial level of the post is 7 for Associate Professor, and 8-9 for Professor. In addition, a performance-related component is paid. Higher salaries may be agreed dependent upon experience and/or performance.
