The Department of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, in the School of Health Science at the University of Iceland, seeks applicants to fill a full time tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in the area of physiology.
We are searching for an outstanding scientist within the field of physiology, but preferred areas of research and expertise within physiology would be in the following fields: excretion and transport across epithelia, reproduction, digestion, metabolism, muscle and cardiovascular physiology. However, candidates with interests and expertise in other areas of physiology are encouraged to apply as well.

The post is a tenure-track position with an initial appointment of five years. The evaluation of academic merits will be in accordance with Icelandic Law and the Regulation for the University of Iceland no. 569/2009. According to the regulations of the University of Iceland, no. 263/2010, qualified candidates may be granted promotion at the start of employment, to the level of Associate or Full Professor.
