Scientific Project Manager

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication is seeking a

Scientific Project Manager

  • Fixed-term contract for a period of 24 months. Depending on project evaluation, perspective of permanent position  might be foreseen
  • Full-time 40h/week
  • Employee status and contract at the University of Luxembourg

Your Role
  • Project management support to the leadership for the development of the medical education programmes
  • Contribute to and follow-up of the implementation activities and communication with the stakeholders from the health and academic area.
  • Take care of the development of curricula for medical education (bachelor and specialisation), including international collaborations
  • Liaising with stakeholders, drafting curricula, setting-up budgets, preparing accreditation applications in collaboration with national and international partners of the medical education programmes. Serving as contact person of the respective training programmes
  • Networking with researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders in the academic and medical field

Your Profile
  •  University degree (equivalent to master in preferably human biology, pharmacology, or human medicine. PhD an advantage) and practical experience in healthcare/science management, especially project management.
  • Experience with curricula development and accreditation and managing a diverse base of stakeholders, ideally in the medical field, as well with working with Ministries or public authorities
  • Highly organized and a good coordinator, motivated and flexible. You are reliable, efficient and proactive in your work.
  • Excellent listening skills, strong writing skills.
  • Ability to adapt and effectively organize, prioritize and execute tasks in a highly dynamic environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • As a self-starter, working with minimum supervision, you will take ownership of your tasks and take pride in providing a high level of service. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skil
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills as well as solid stakeholder management skills
  •  Experience working in a research/academic environment as well as knowledge of the Luxembourgish environment for health and biomedicine would be a plus.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, and excellent oral and written skills in French, as well as willingness to improve fluency in languages generally. German and Luxembourgish are an advantage.
