Doctoral Researcher Position at SnT in Model-Driven Software Engineering

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) invites applications from a PhD candidate in the field of model-driven software engineering. SnT is carrying out interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services, often in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international partners.

Your Role

The University of Luxembourg seeks to hire an outstanding PhD candidate at its Software Verification and Validation (SVV) Laboratory (http://www.svv.lu) in the field of model driven software engineering beginning mid of February 2019. The laboratory is led by Professor Lionel Briand, and is supported by several major funding grants, including an ERC Advanced grant. English is the working language of this international laboratory. SVV is part of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Reliability, Security and Trust (SnT).

The candidate work will focus on modelling and analysis of laws and regulations. The research program will cover several topics including conceptual modelling, domain-specific languages, specification of rules for compliance checking, and mechanisms for transforming natural-language artefacts into models.

Your Profile

Having a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Applied Mathematics is a requirement. We can consider only applicants who have already finished their Master program. More info at https://wwwen.uni.lu/studies/doctoral_education

Experience: The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in the following topics:

  • Prior knowledge about software modelling and analysis is required.
  • Prior knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and model-driven engineering (MDE) are considered assets.

Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
