Job Requirements 

  • At least 5 years of Postdoctoral experiences in the area of semiconductor / thin film from reputable university.
  • PhD in Physics / Electrical Engineering / Material Sciences or related discipline from reputable University 
  • Experience as a group leader in international group.
  • Independent research career in the above two fields.
  • Outstanding experience in analytical instruments and analytical methods.
  • Skills in writing research papers, proofreading and editing of manuscripts.
  • Skills in funds raising and research proposals writing.
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of NMSRC.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The candidate is expected to conduct strong scientific research, publish the results, and active in obtaining grants. The scope of research program includes solid state experimental physics in particular, semiconductors, nanostructures and thin films, construction of devices based on the related technologies (e.g. transistors, electroluminescent diodes, photovoltaic cells, solar cells), experimental methods of materials and electronic and optoelectronic devices characterization. The candidate must have hand on expertise on related instruments such as magnetron sputtering deposition systems, thin film conducting meter etc. The responsibilities;

  • Conducting research in accordance with the research profile defined in the job description.
  • Utilize your specialist knowledge and skills in thin film deposition techniques.
  • Utilize and integrate materials fabrication into high quality academic research.
  • Scientific collaboration with external institutions.
  • Applying for research grants.
