The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), established in 1885, is a leading European competence center in the assessment and sustainable use of geological resources. We provide expertise that serves the interests of our clients, stakeholders and society as a whole. We generate innovative solutions that lead to new technologies and business areas, as well as promote sustainable growth. GTK is an expert organization under Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, employing approximately 420 full-time staff who are effectively engaged in tasks at the local, national and international level.
