The candidate will mainly work in a nationally funded project that aims to design information management systems and collaborate with the IoT developers for creating a circular symbiosis system. The candidate will also contribute in an EU funded project specifically in the research activities that deal with development as well as implementation of ICT Platforms for Multiple Life cycles in two leading European manufacturing companies.

The selected applicant is expected to hold or to be about to receive a M.Sc. degree in one of the following or related disciplines: Mechanical Engineering or Production and Manufacturing Engineering. The applicant should have an outstanding academic track record, and well developed analytical and problem solving skills. We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently and is willing to participate in department’s educational activities. Good oral and written English is required. Swedish Language proficiency is highly valued.

Information regarding admission and employment
Only those who are or have been admitted to third-cycle studies may be employed as a doctoral student. The term of the initial contract may not exceed one year. The employment may be extended for a maximum of two years at a time. However, the total period of employment may not exceed the equivalent of four years of full-time study. Decisions on employment as a doctoral student may not be appealed.

Doctoral students should primarily devote themselves to their own education, but may engage in teaching, research, and administration corresponding to a maximum of 20 % of a full-time position.
