to support the project with silvicultural expertise and to develop recommendations for the management of forested areas and afforestation in Armenia in a changing climate. To achieve this goal, you will collect information on current silvicultural practices and ecosystem services and identify open questions, knowledge gaps and existing problems. You will analyze the effects of climate change on forested areas and ecosystem services and assess the potential of possible measures to adapt to climate change. You will further make your findings and recommendations available for implementation by preparing documents for Armenian stakeholders and by participating in local dissemination.

You have a graduate degree in forest or environmental sciences (at least MSc. level), very profound knowledge in climate adaptive forest management, good project management skills and the willingness to carry out field and implementation work in Armenia at least twice. A healthy ability to work in a team and a high degree of flexibility are also important.

Please send your complete application to Beatrice Lamprecht, Human Resources WSL, by uploading the requested documents through our webpage.
