Teaching Assistant

Faculty of Law and Social Communication in Wroclaw
Department of Graphic Arts
Teaching hours: 180 hours

Duties:
- conducting classes in the form of exercises, workshops
- participating in the development of the program of the classes conducted
- evaluating students and providing them with feedback
- timely completion of data in the computer system supporting the verbis teaching process
- conducting consultations with students
- contributing to the integration of the student community by supporting the work of study circles and organizations
- contributing to the improvement of didactics, taking care of the development of his/her own teaching skills by participating in the programs for the development of teaching competencies organized by SWPS University and by following the results of the evaluation of classes by students and the results of the hospitalization of the classes he/she teaches
- opportunity to teach undergraduate seminars after receiving a positive opinion from the head of the course and assuming that the reviewer will be a person with at least a doctoral degree
- opportunity to participate in the undergraduate graduation process
- preparing scientific publications in a team
- supporting the managers of research centers
- obtaining external funding to conduct small research projects or project activities
- active involvement in the activities of the department, institute
or organizational unit - participating in university collegial bodies, advisory bodies, committees, etc.
- cooperating with academic functionaries in the organization of teaching
or research activities - building relations with the social and economic environment
- participating in organizational activities for the benefit of the university
- implementing of activities for institutional development and didactics in the university
- participating in marketing and promotional activities for the university - in particular, the organization of events of the graphics department (main event)
Requirements:
- master's degree in art, discipline: fine arts and conservation of works of art (documented education/experience in social sciences will be an added advantage)
- knowledge of English at an intermediate level
- experience in teaching for a minimum of 1 year
- willingness to work on weekends
- declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work

- research interests in the areas of affordance theory in design, design heuristics, communication design, presentation technology

Formal criteria:
- teaching achievements: 40% of the final score
- academic achievements: 20% of the final score
- administrative and practical achievements: 40% of the final score
