Telecom Paris seeks candidates for faculty positions starting September 1st, 2025, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. We welcome outstanding applicants with research and teaching interests in any area related to the mathematical aspects of data science. Higher priority will be given to the overall innovation, originality, and promise of the candidate’s work than to any specific sub-area of research.
The successful candidate will join the MIC (Mathématiques de l'Information et des Communications) team, a research group at Telecom Paris dedicated to the mathematics of information processing. This position encourages research exploring the mathematical aspects of data science, including, but not limited to, probability/statistics, information theory, and mathematical physics methods.
The position ("Maître de Conférences") is a junior faculty position with tenure.
The candidate must hold a PhD in mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. He or she should have a strong background in the mathematics of learning and information processing, which could include:
