Your Responsibilities

  • Writing a dissertation at the University of Graz in the area of Civil Law
  • Participation in research projects of Prof. Melcher, in particular in Austrian and European law of obligations and family law as well as private international law
  • Conducting of and participation in courses
  • Assistance with examinations and supervision of students
  • Participation in organizational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures

Your Profile

  • Completed diploma or master’s degree in Law with above-average success
  • Excellent abilities of Austrian Private Law and associated practise areas (especially EU Law)
  • Excellent German language skills (written and spoken)
  • Very good English language skills (another foreign language desirable)
  • Experience abroad (desirable)
  • Competence in the evaluation of other's performances (desirable)
  • Didactic competence for the conducting of courses in German (desirable)
  • Comprehensive computer skills
  • High interest in scientific work and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and focused
  • Communication, organizational and teamwork skills

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52.865,40 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
