About the FSTM

Your role
This position is inside the SPETRA doctoral training unit which investigates new materials, methods and concepts for converting sunlight into usable energy sources.
Inorganic Chalcogenide Perovskite materials are earth abundant, non-toxic and extremely stable making them ideal candidates for use as absorber layers for tandem and indoor photovoltaic applications. The student will investigate the synthesis of powders and thin films with the aim to investigate their fundamental opto-electronic properties using state of the art instrumentation as well as fabricate functioning demonstrator devices. The project will involve significant collaboration, sample exchange, semiconductor and device characterisation.
