A LEADING TEACHING AND RESEARCH INSTITUTION IN THE FIELDS OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT)

EURECOM is a Graduate school and Research Centre in digital sciences located in the Sophia Antipolis technology park (French Riviera), a major European place for telecommunications activities.

It was founded in 1991 in a consortium form [GIE] that allowed EURECOM to build a large network of renowned academic and industrial partners. The “Institut Mines Telecom” is a founding member of EURECOM consortium. EURECOM research teams are made up of international experts, recruited at the highest level, whose work is regularly honored and has earned international recognition.

Orange, BMW, Norton LifeLock, SAP, IABG.

Institut Mines-Telecom, Aalto University (Helsinki), Chalmers University of Technology, Politecnico di Torino, Technische Universität München (TUM), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Czech Technical University (CTU) in Prague, Technische Universität Wien - TU Wien, ITMO University (St Petersburg).

Research

Priority has been given to three fields of research: Digital Security, Data Science and Communication Systems.

High level education

EURECOM provides graduate and postgraduate courses in communication systems and offers four Master of Sciences full recognized by the French State and dedicated to foreign students. In 2012, EURECOM opened two Post Master's degrees in booming sectors: Security for Computer Systems and Communication and Communication for Intelligent Transportation Systems.

Doctoral program

EURECOM is involved with several doctoral schools and offers PhD students a central role by placing them at the very heart of the research dynamic. They benefit from a high-quality academic and working environment. They can do exploratory research on emerging subjects in the broad field of communication systems.

Innovation and transfer toward industry

Opening new paths towards future and emerging technologies, and establishing partnerships with companies to enhance knowledge transfer to tomorrow's industries are two keys strategies of EURECOM's policy.

EURECOM supports its students' and teachers' start-up projects with the Telecom parisTech EURECOM incubator.

Outstanding result of the research

The high level of the research at EURECOM has been rewarded with three ERCs in three years. [One of the most selective European Research Council grants in Europe] With 13% of researchers receiving an ERC, EURECOM ranks among the top 3 European research organizations.
