The Institution

Founded in 1984 by the Grenoble Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GEM quickly established itself as a pioneering school by integrating technology into its programs early on. Today, the school holds the three major international accreditations (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) and stands out for its expertise in educational innovation, technological management, and international openness.

Strong International Presence

GEM cultivates a strong international dimension through over 230 academic partnerships worldwide, programs taught entirely in English, and campuses in France and abroad. Each year, hundreds of international students from partner institutions are welcomed, while hundreds of GEM students pursue double degrees in France or abroad. These academic exchanges are made possible thanks to the school’s network and collaborations with prestigious institutions worldwide. This global openness offers GEM students a multicultural experience and privileged access to major innovation ecosystems.

Research at GEM

Teaching and initiatives at GEM are supported by dynamic and recognized research, which lies at the heart of its academic excellence. Researchers and their teams explore major economic, technological, and societal challenges. This activity has resulted in over 600 publications in the past five years, demonstrating the institution’s scientific vitality.

Focus on the Grande École Program (PGE)

The PGE is GEM’s flagship program, recognized both in France and internationally. It trains responsible and innovative managers capable of thriving in complex, globalized environments. With a pedagogy focused on international exposure, innovation, and societal transitions, the PGE offers personalized pathways, double degrees, international experiences, and strong integration of science and technology.

Focus on GIANT, the Innovation Campus

GIANT (Grenoble Innovation for Advanced New Technologies) is a unique innovation campus in Europe, bringing together major players in research, industry, and higher education around cutting-edge technologies and societal transitions. GEM is a founding member of this project and plays a strategic role by integrating managerial and economic dimensions into an environment dominated by science and technology. Through its programs and chairs, GEM fosters collaboration between researchers, companies, and students to develop innovative solutions to the challenges of the 21st century.
