The Nano Optics group, headed by Marek Piliarik, is advancing the fundamental understanding of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale. Our focus areas include single-molecule label-free detection, interferometric scattering microscopy, ultrasensitive vibrational spectroscopy, and more. The group has a successful record of technology transfer and industrial collaborations, and participates in a range of cross-disciplinary collaborations, including a partnership with the Dresden International Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Life Sciences.
