The Engineering Department at Ashesi:

Through its curricula and research, our fast-growing Engineering Department at Ashesi is helping deepen a culture of innovation, critical thinking, and hands-on learning on campus. As part of our third-decade strategic plan, we are expanding our current majors – Undergraduate Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s in Mechatronic Engineering – to include undergraduate majors in Mechatronic Engineering and Bioengineering.

The Faculty Role

Responsibility

We are looking for a skillful electrical or electronic engineering faculty. The ideal candidate should be

• Familiar with communications and transmission technologies as well as with computer networks. Knowledge of DSP and signals and systems will be desirable.
• Able to teach with passion.
• Must possess a passion for both academic excellence and can demonstrate real-world industry related skills.
• Must be able and willing to do research in an allied area.

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in electrical/electronic engineering, or any relevant field.
• Industry experience in a related field that provides valuable practical insights.
• A deep commitment to teaching and mentoring students.
• Outstanding communication skills, both in the classroom and in collaborative research settings.
• A visionary approach to advancing knowledge and innovation in engineering.
